About Us

Our Story
A New Page, Inc. was born from both professional experience and personal transformation.
For more than a decade, the founder worked on the front lines of behavioral health—supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, addiction, chronic illness, homelessness, and systemic barriers to care. As a licensed clinical social worker and nonprofit leader, she witnessed firsthand how fragmented healthcare systems often leave people overwhelmed, unheard, and unsupported, especially those living with chronic conditions or facing financial hardship.
Yet her understanding of these gaps deepened profoundly when I became a heart transplant survivor.
Suddenly, I was no longer just a clinician or advocate—I was a patient. I experienced the emotional weight of diagnosis, the exhaustion of navigating appointments and insurance, and the quiet isolation that often accompanies serious illness. I also saw how caregivers carry invisible burdens, balancing love, fear, and responsibility without enough support.
She started A New Page, Inc. to bridge the gap between diagnosis and stability.
The vision was simple but powerful: create a space where individuals living with chronic illness and their caregivers could receive not only education and resources, but dignity, emotional support, and community. A place where healing is whole-person, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. A place where people are empowered to advocate for themselves and supported through every stage of their journey.
Today, A New Page, Inc. provides transportation assistance, initial care funding, support groups, and health education through programs like the Lupus Health Symposium. We work to remove barriers to care while helping individuals build resilience, confidence, and connection.
This organization exists because she believes no one should have to navigate illness alone. Every person deserves access to compassionate care, practical resources, and a community that sees them, not just their diagnosis.
A New Page, Inc. represents hope, healing, and the possibility of new beginnings. And for every person we serve, this is just the start of their next chapter.
